Rolando Rivera, M.D.

Rolando Rivera, M.D. graduated from the University of Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto Rico Magna cum Laude with a B.S. in General Sciences with a major in Biology. He then earned his M.D. from the University of Puerto Rico. He was selected to Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and graduated with honors.

Dr. Rivera received his training in Urologic Surgery at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. While at the University of Florida, Dr. Rivera was a 2002 and 2005 AUA Gerald P. Murphy Scholar in Urology. Dr. Rivera published a review article of medical management of erectile dysfunction.

Dr. Rivera obtained fellowship training at the University of Miami in Pelvic and Reconstructive surgery, Voiding Dysfunction, Incontinence and Urodynamics. He has presented multiple abstracts at urologic meetings in these topics, and has several pending publications. He also has interests in sacral neuromodulation for urinary control, prosthetics and Botulinum toxin therapy for management of voiding dysfunction.
