William M. Figlesthaler, M.D William M. Figlesthaler, MD is a cum laude alumnus of Wake Forest University and graduated with honors from the University Of North Carolina School Of Medicine at Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Dr. Figlesthaler completed his Urological Surgery Training at the University of Kentucky, Albert B. Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He has published research on prostate cancer in cooperation with John Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland and has given numerous presentations at both regional and national conferences. His results for cure, preservation of bladder control, return to normal activities and recovery of sexual function are outstanding and second to none. He often has surgeons scheduling visits to Naples to observe his techniques and has treated patients from over twenty states, eight countries, three continents and counting. He has most recently been featured on the ABC evening news local affiliate for his mastery of this surgery. Dr. Figlesthaler is Board Certified, a Diplomat of the American Board of Urology as well as a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
