David Wilkinson, M.D.

Dr. Wilkinson received his Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Professions from The Ohio State University. He began his career as a respiratory therapist and returned to medical school at The Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. He graduated from medical school with honors and was elected into the international honor society of Alpha Omega Alpha for academic and clinical excellence.

Dr. Wilkinson completed his urologic surgery training at the University of Kentucky, Albert B. Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He published a review article of urinary and serologic markers of interstitial cystitis. During his residency he received the Excellence in Medical Student Education Award.

Dr. Wilkinson’s areas of special interest include Laparoscopic surgery, robotic surgery and minimally invasive treatment of prostatic diseases. He joins our group with significant training and experience in da Vinci robotic prostatectomy as well as other applications of the da Vinci surgical system.
